Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Credit Administrator - Asset Based Lending (ABL)


Description:


The Credit Administrator - Asset Based Lending (ABL) has oversight of a team of Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Credit Analysts. This position is responsible for consistent commercial underwriting and adherence to the company's credit policies and culture, PM development and pipeline management. 


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate level of portfolio management support for ABL lending platform by staying abreast of the new deal pipeline and staffing deals appropriately.
  • Support Portfolio Management knowledge and career development through participation in calls and customer meetings, understanding of credit and operating policies and business line strategies. 
  • Monitor, evaluate and coach ABL Portfolio Managers in portfolio management duties including underwriting new opportunities, renewals, modifications, borrowing base reviews, field exam reviews, appraisal reviews, loan advance approvals, Annual Review Jobs (ARJs), and covenant testing.
  • Meet regularly with ABL Business leadership and the assigned Regional Senior Credit Administrator (RSCA) to review the portfolio and ensure team building/communication and appropriate portfolio management with a focus on the customer/borrower.
  • Maintain current understanding of concentration limits and industry appetite.
  • Maintain/Develop relationships with internal subject matter experts.
  • Responsible for adherence and consistency to company's loan policy/underwriting standards via the underwriting memos, change memos, ARJ, etc.
  • Advocate for a collaborative/team credit administration culture throughout the company.
  • Ensure ABL PMs and other ABL team members participate in the recurring portfolio reviews and rolling loan review meetings, as required.
  • Ensure quality of underwriting of ABL loan portfolio is maintained to company standards and reflects the complexity of deal structures.
  • Ensure annual training for all PMs to stay abreast with underwriting standards, etc. Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.


Education / Experience Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other applicable undergraduate or graduate degree. 
  • 8+ years in ABL underwriting and portfolio management and commercial credit analysis
  • Must possess excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, specifically Word/Excel.
  • Prefer prior experience with Solifi/Stucky system.
  • Must possess aptitude for learning new systems and applications quickly, specifically Salesforce.com and nCino Bank Operating System.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel will be required, as needed.

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
