Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Associate Director, Corporate Communications to lead the execution of our external communications strategy.

The Associate Director, Corporate Communications will oversee corporate communication across press releases, investor materials, company website, social media, and components of SEC filings such as the annual report (Form10K). The ideal candidate combines strong communications expertise with scientific literacy and a solid understanding of the biopharmaceutical sector, allowing this person to translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear and engaging narratives for investors, media, and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive external communications strategies that advance the company's corporate objectives.
  • Draft, edit, and manage press releases, corporate statements, investor call scripts, Q&As, and executive talking points, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with regulatory and disclosure requirements.
  • Partner closely with Clinical, Finance and Legal teams and senior leadership to prepare and review public company disclosures, including the Form10 K, Form10 Q, and other SEC filings.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Clinical, and Regulatory Affairs to translate complex scientific and clinical data into accurate and comprehensible content for external audiences.
  • Develop and update corporate website and social media content, ensuring updates are timely, accurate, and aligned with corporate messaging priorities.
  • Support investor relations activities, including earnings communications, investor conferences, and other public company events.
  • Help guide publication planning activities around medical/scientific conference presentations and journal articles to ensure alignment with corporate and program goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including investor relations advisors, public relations firms, and media contacts, to coordinate consistent and effective corporate messaging.
  • Monitor industry trends, investor sentiment, and media coverage to inform communications planning, identify opportunities, and mitigate reputational risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or Life Sciences; advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D., or MBA) preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, investor relations, or public relations within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting communications for a publicly traded company, including familiarity with SEC disclosure standards and earnings processes.
  • Ability to distill complex scientific or clinical information into clear narratives tailored for both technical and financial audiences.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with close attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong understanding of the biotech capital markets ecosystem and the communications needs of public investors and analysts.
  • Experience working with external agencies and consultants supporting communications and investor relations.
  • Experience supporting major corporate or pipeline announcements for a NASDAQ-listed biotechnology company.
  • Proven track record of contributing to integrated communications strategies that enhance corporate visibility and credibility among investors and media.
