Job description

Equipped with the latest technologies, Cleveland Clinic's Richard E. Jacobs Health Center brings world-class care close to home for the residents in and around Avon, Ohio. In addition to advanced specialty and primary care, this facility also includes an outpatient surgery center, an infusion suite for chemotherapy, a full-scale imaging center, two pools for aquatictherapyand more.

Cleveland Clinic's Richard E. Jacobs Health Center offers a wide variety of dermatology, facial and plastics services, such as injections and filler, excisions, cosmetic dermatology, cutaneous laser surgery, hair loss treatment, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, lip enhancement, non-invasive cosmeticproceduresand skin care.

A caregiver in this position worksvarying days between Monday and Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm. Potential evenings may extend to 8:00pm and Saturdays may occur from 8:00am to 4:00pm. No holidays. Floating expectations will be required.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephonetriageandestablishcare plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
  • Assistwith specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeuticproceduresand specialized patient care equipment.
  • Develop, evaluate,adaptand document health education and provide it to patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.
  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or the American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN
  • Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor ofscienceinnursing(BSN)
  • Prior dermatology experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
  • Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $41.00

Maximum hourly: $41.00
