***This position is Hybrid, with candidates required to reside within commuting distance of either Plano, TX or Miramar, FL.***

Job Purpose: The Senior Quality Engineer will play a key role in driving quality initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. This role will take on more advanced responsibilities, including designing and implementing test automation frameworks, conducting complex test scenarios, and mentoring junior team members. 

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive quality engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals.  
  • Define and implement best practices for quality engineering throughout the development lifecycle. 
  • Design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks. 
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing. Ensure a high level of test coverage for critical business functionalities. 
  • Evaluate, select, and implement testing tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality engineering process. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.  
  • Enforce best practices to streamline the testing and quality engineering processes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure a unified approach to quality. 
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality engineering.  
  • Prepare and present reports on the effectiveness and efficiency of quality engineering efforts. 
  • Identify and manage risks related to quality engineering activities. Proactively address potential issues to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality engineering. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

                          Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

                          • Proficient knowledge of Web UI, Mobile, Tablet application testing 
                          • Proficient knowledge of Media, Video, Voice IVR/RTP firmware/hardware testing 
                          • Proficient using testing/documentation/repository Tools: Jira/Jira zephyr, Confluence, Bamboo, Gitlab or Other Leading tracking system 
                          • Proficient using Linux or UNIX basic commands 
                          • Proficient using SQL statement in Oracle, MSQL or MySQL 
                          • Proficient using Mongo DB, Couchbase, Elasticsearch, Postgre etc   
                          • Knowledge on Rabbit MQ, Kibana/LogStash, ETL, JBoss, Tomcat, Liferay/DXP etc 
                          • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and other development methodologies. 
                          • Excellent problem solving and resolution skills 
                          • Excellent verbal & written communication with all peers 
                          • Ability to Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. 

                                              Minimum Qualifications:

                                              • High School diploma or GED 
                                              • 5+ years of Experience to include: 
                                              • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks(selenium, Hammer, Jira, Rest Assured, TestNG, Appium ). 
                                              • Proficient with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, javascript) for automation. 
                                              • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to lead and mentor a team. 
                                              • Experience with agile development methodologies and CI/CD processes. 

                                                         Preferred Qualifications:

                                                        • Bachelor's degree 7+ years 
                                                        • Certifications in relevant testing tools or methodologies. 

                                                          Physical Requirements:

                                                          • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and office equipment. 
                                                          • Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
