Job description

 Title: Sr. Java AWS Technical Lead
Location: Piscataway,NJ (Hybrid 3 days a week from day one)
Position type: W2 contract 

Experience: Min 15 Years. Out of which at least 10~12 years in hands on development with a strong background of 2-3 years Architectural exposure in building enterprise-wide implementation distributed applications. Retirement industry background preferred.

 Responsibility:

  • Active Involvement in process of building new IT strategy for client. That involves meetings, knowledge sharing / brain storming sessions, paper presentation etc.
  • Preparing and publishing various reports for the C level executives of the company regarding application platform development and current and future state.
  • Designing and developing  new Enterprise application that should accommodate existing application inventory.
  • Provide consultation to Business Head, IT Head on strategic planning and decision making for new application development for different LOBs, different devices or platforms.
  • Design and provide architecture diagrams whenever needed for any application.
  • Ability to conduct Design session with business teams to create strong design 
  • Ability to break down solution into for development teams to code

Primary Skills:

  • Expertise in Java and Java Enterprise technologies stack. That includes Java, Sprint MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Struts, etc. 
  • Strong proven experience in building scalable , maintainable microservices
  • Strong hands on proven experience in building Domain driven design systems and follow OOAD
  • Strong proven experience in distributed applications and patterns 
  • Hands on experience on Java programming
  • Experience with embedded servers such as Embedded Tomcat
  • Experience with build tools like Gradle, Maven, ANT
  • Experience with TDD and BDD
  • Hands on Experience with AI , Agentic AI , Productivity tools using AI, KIRO 
  • Experience with Source Control systems such as GitHub, SVN, Bitbucket
  • Databases like Postgre SQL, SQL Server, Mongo DB
  • Good knowledge on Continuous Development with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and tools such as Jenkins
  • Excellent knowledge about design and implementation of applications on Cloud, specifically AWS and using various services like Lambda, S3, ECS Fargate, API Gateway, Route53
  • AWS Certified solutions architect
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Docker Containers
  • Exposure to Enterprise Architecture framework such as, Zachman, TOGAF 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Struts , WebLogic, JBOSS, JAX-RS
  • Analytical skills on business requirements to discuss with the various stakeholders and business application users to understand their pain areas.
  • AWS Solution architect – Associate or professional certification
