IT Analyst - Desktop Governance & Compliance
Location: Pensacola, FL or Vienna, VA (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst for a Desktop Governance and Compliance role. This position supports operational efficiency, stability, and security across a diverse end-user computing environment. The analyst will focus on governance, risk, and compliance activities, including elevated access controls, audit readiness, remediation support, and evidence management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support elevated access governance activities, including recurring reviews, entitlement validation, recertifications, exception tracking, and evidence collection.
  • Review access and control-related requests against business needs, security requirements, and policy standards.
  • Develop and maintain compliance reporting, dashboards, Standard Operating Procedures, and governance reference materials.
  • Use Excel, pivot tables, and reporting tools to analyze data, validate controls, and support risk-based decisions.
  • Support projects and process improvements through planning, tracking, and implementation.
  • Build effective relationships with team members, management, and business partners.
  • Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude for desktop infrastructure and communicate technical requirements effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
Experience: Candidates must have over 5 years of IT experience in formulating and supporting desktop infrastructure technical solutions for access governance, privileged access administration, risk remediation, audit support, compliance reporting, and control validation within end-user computing operations. Experience is also required in supporting privileged access management, workstation elevated-access provisioning, entitlement management, recertification processes, ServiceNow, MyIT, and related reporting tools. Additional experience includes supporting projects, facilitating meetings, driving process improvement, and working within Systems Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies.
Skills: Applicants should possess strong communication, documentation, planning, and time management skills. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are necessary, including proficiency with Excel and pivot tables. Candidates must have a keen attention to detail and be self-motivated professionals capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or similar project management certification.
