What you will be doing

The Buyer Planner is responsible for overseeing purchasing, production planning, inventory management, and supplier relationships to support efficient manufacturing operations. This role ensures raw materials and packaging are available to meet production demands while maintaining inventory accuracy, controlling costs, and driving continuous improvement.

The position is based in Denver, CO. The salary rate is $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8–9 annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits such as 401(k) eligibility.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing raw materials, packaging, and production supplies.

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.

  • Monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock without overages or shortages.

  • Negotiate pricing and manage supplier performance.

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support operational goals.

  • Supervise team members, provide coaching, and support employee development.

  • Analyze purchasing and inventory data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing, production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing supervision.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Food and beverage industry experience preferred.
