Job description

Nuuly is looking for an Associate Inventory Planner. They will support the efficient flow and distribution of inventory to designated sell-off. This role focuses on executing strategies to manage obsolete or slow-moving inventory with the Senior Planner and Merchandise Planning teams to identify opportunities that maximize inventory turnover, profitability, and warehouse space optimization.


  • Fulfillment Optimization: Diagnose and resolve bottlenecks in fulfillment centers that affect inventory movement, ensuring efficient flow to sell-off or high-demand locations.
  • Network Visibility: Maintain transparent reporting tools to track inventory flow, shrinkage, and the sell-off process across the entire network.
  • Cross-Functional Distribution: Partner with Logistics and Merchandise Planning to support network-wide initiatives and optimize inventory distribution across various locations.
  • Inventory Identification: Collaborate with Merchandise Planning to identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory, contributing to decisions that minimize overstock.
  • Strategy Execution: Assist in implementing scalable sell-off solutions to effectively manage inventory risk and enhance the customer experience.
  • Operational Support: Oversee the returns, inbound, inspection, and outbound processes related to sell-off to ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to forecast demand for sell-offs and aid in maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Compliance: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy in inventory processing and compliance with performance standards.

  • Experience: Background in inventory management, preferably within a specialty retailer or start-up environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with a basic understanding of demand planning and identifying inventory obsolescence.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with a focus on process improvement.
