Job description

Leadership & Coaching

  • Monitor daily workflow for Inventory Associates to ensure all intake and preparation goals are met for the shift.

  • Set the standard for the team by demonstrating expert-level proficiency in product handling, data entry, and compliance.

  • Facilitates the hands-on training of new Inventory Associates, guiding them through SOPs, software workflows, and facility standards to ensure the shift operates with consistent accuracy and speed.
  • Provide "on-the-floor" coaching; educate the team members on best practices and reinforce Nuwu policies and procedures.

  • Act as the first point of contact for shift-level operational hurdles or procedural questions.

Inventory Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee the verification of deliveries against manifests and invoices, ensuring the team maintains 100% accuracy in batch and strain data.

  • Interpret Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to ensure product potency and safety data match labeling requirements.

  • Monitor data entry into Metrc, Dutchie, or similar software to ensure lab results and required documentation are attached correctly.

  • Demonstrate and enforce First-In-First-Out (FIFO) methodology to prevent product expiration.

  • Supervise labeling and binning processes to prevent batch mixing and ensure barcodes/display tags meet compliance standards.

  • Coordinate and participate in menu audits, display case checks, and full inventory counts, including specialized overnight audit shifts.

  • Lead "root-cause analysis" for discrepancies (e.g., identifying mispicks or system glitches) and provide data-driven reports to management.

Asset Protection & Facility Support

  • Proactively safeguard inventory from loss or theft; ensure no retail items or supplies are removed without documented approval.

  • Immediately report any observed policy violations or safety hazards to management or Security.

  • Coordinate with the sales floor to ensure products are prepped, labeled, and visible in required systems.

  • Functions as the primary "owner" of the shift's productivity; models a culture of integrity by remaining on-task and ensuring the team maintains professional standards and security protocols even when management is not immediately available.Ensure team maintains clean, organized, secure workspaces.
