Dubsdread Golf Learning Center

Full-Time Instructor / Coach – Position Description

The Golf Instructor/Coach works under the direction of the Director of Instruction and collaborates with both full-time and part-time instructors to deliver and promote the player development programs designed by the Director of Instruction.

The primary responsibility of this position is to teach and coach within group instruction programs for both junior and adult students. The instructor will also complete administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Instruction to ensure that all students are properly registered, payments are processed, and participants are placed in the appropriate group classes while making steady and measurable developmental progress.

Over time, the instructor may also be assigned private instruction sessions when needed. All private lessons must be approved by the Director of Instruction and must align with the development program structure established by the Director.

This full-time role primarily consists of assignments within the Learning Center. However, when necessary, the instructor may assist the Golf Department with specific activities or special events. All such assignments will be coordinated through the Director of Instruction.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements
  • PGA or LPGA Class A Member preferred, or PGA/LPGA Associate actively working toward membership (requirement may be waived with verifiable teaching experience)

  • Minimum of one year of experience in golf instruction and club-fitting techniques

  • Experience teaching and coaching all aspects of the game of golf

  • Familiarity with modern teaching technology such as video analysis, TrackMan, and similar systems preferred

  • Excellent verbal communication and instructional skills

  • Strong interpersonal abilities with the capacity to connect quickly with students and create an engaging, enjoyable learning environment

  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented

  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and proactive

  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities
  • Play a leading role in delivering group instruction, golf schools, and corporate clinics for both adult and junior programs

  • Assist with the supervision and maintenance of practice facilities to ensure safe, clean, organized, and professional conditions

  • Support the private instruction program when assigned

  • Help maintain teaching aids and instructional inventory in excellent condition

  • Perform administrative duties as assigned to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the instructional program

  • Assist with opening and closing duties of the instruction program as required

  • Represent the facility within the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and programs when assigned
