Position Summary
The Division of Allied Health Sciences Medical Assisting Program is seeking Adjunct instructors for several courses, including Phlebotomy. As an adjunct instructor, you work with students to provide them with the knowledge and training they need to be successful in the Medical Assisting and/or Phlebotomy field.
Days and times depend on specific course schedule. Evenings and Saturdays may be required for certain courses.
Duties and Responsibilities
Adjunct instructors are responsible for:
  • Prepare syllabus and course materials.
  • Instruct lecture and/or labs.
  • Prepare online course material to support instruction.
  • Keep attendance and grade records.
  • Report mid-term and final grades by deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Associates degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of one year experience in Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, or healthcare related field
  • Previous teaching or training experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional manner.
  • Excellent teamwork skills: skilled at collaborating in a positive manner.
