Summary:

In this role, you will support the reliability and performance of Vizient's technology infrastructure serving internal users. You will assist in the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of infrastructure systems and services, ensuring stable and secure operations. You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional IT teams to troubleshoot issues, support incident resolution, and contribute to infrastructure improvements. You will also participate in technology projects, assist with system upgrades, and help maintain documentation and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration and maintenance of infrastructure systems and services.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues across supported environments.
  • Assist in incident response and resolution to minimize service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand technical needs and provide solutions.
  • Contribute to the implementation of infrastructure changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, diagrams, and knowledge articles.
  • Follow and support change management processes to ensure controlled system updates.
  • Assist in developing and improving operational procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide Tier 1/2 support for escalated technical issues.
  • Participate in a rotational team providing extended-hours support to ensure system availability for users across U.S. time zones.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree, coursework, certification, or equivalent technical training preferred.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Understanding of infrastructure concepts such as networking, servers, security, and Windows operating systems required.
  • Foundational troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills required.
  • Ability to take a thoughtful troubleshooting approach, ask questions to identify root causes beyond the immediate issue.
  • Experience supporting Office 365 or similar productivity platforms highly preferred.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) required.
  • Deskside support experience with a focus on customer service and professionalism highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting end-user hardware and peripherals including printers, mobile devices, keyboards/mice, and multi-monitor setups preferred.
  • Experience supporting small projects or assigned components within a team environment preferred.
  • Ability to document technical processes and maintain accurate records required.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $45,100.00 to $76,500.00.
