Job description

The Health Sciences Division is dedicated to preparing students for success beyond Rose State College. The Division consists of innovative, nurturing faculty who strive to deliver quality courses that prepare students with the skills and knowledge necessary for academic transfer to other institutions and/or to enter the job market. The clinical adjunct faculty are an integral part of the division and bring work-related experiences, technological skills, applications, and innovative approaches to education into the classroom.

Openings for Adjunct Professor(s) may be available in the following areas of study:

  • Medical Laboratory Technology 
  • Dental Assisting 
  • Dental Hygiene
  • Nursing Science 
  • Radiologic Technology 
  • Respiratory Therapist 
  • Medical Terminology

Minimum Qualifications:  Educational requirements vary by discipline. 

  • Dental Hygiene – Associate in Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene plus Registered Dental Hygienist (R.D.H) certificate.
  • Medical Lab Technology – Associates Degree in MLT and ASCP, or AMT, or ABB certification and one (1) years' experience as a medical laboratory professional.
  • Medical Terminology – Bachelor's Degree and related certifications and/or a license and one (1) year related work experience with duties requiring the use of scientific medical language
  • Nursing – BSN in Nursing, current RN licenses, a minimum of two (2) years' experience within the last five (5) years in a clinical setting.
  • Radiologic Technology – Associates Degree and ARRT credential
  • Respiratory Therapy – Associates Degree and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification

Pay Rate: $700 per credit hour.

An unofficial degree conferring transcripts must be received by this office for formal consideration; however, should an offer of employment be extended, official transcripts are required.
