Position: Assistant/Associate Professor - Family and Consumer Sciences [Gerontology]

This is a 12โ€‘month nonโ€‘tenure track research faculty appointment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a research program through interdisciplinary collaborations leading to grant writing and publications.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in family and consumer sciences, particularly in the gerontology area.
  • Participate in curriculum development.
  • Engage in accreditation procedures, program coordination, and program assessment.
  • Serve on department, college, and university committees and participate in other research and academic functions.
Qualifications
  • Earned Ph.D. in Gerontology or a related discipline from an accredited university, with a specialization in social gerontology or sociological perspectives on the life course.
