Lead Respiratory Therapist FT Nights

***$20,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (Paid over 2 Years)***

The Team Leader will provide direct oversight over Respiratory staff and participates in evaluations and counseling sessions of Respiratory staff.  Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care given to patients at PMC requiring respiratory therapy services.

  • Performs and documents basic assessment.  Identifies deviations for the norm based on standards.      Reassesses, identifies, and prioritizes problems in accordance with the assessment.
  • Standards of care initiated and utilized in accordance with the RT Department standards.  Available resources are identified and utilized to achieve standards of care.      Standards of care are revised in accordance with RT Department standards.
  • Evaluates and modifies care based on subjective and objective patient responses.  Evaluates and modifies standards of care based on achieved patient outcomes.      Documentation reflects department standards.
  • Identifies needs and customizes education for patients and families.
  • Patient care activities are coordinated, communicated, and delegated to team members appropriately.  Patient report communicated in a concise, accurate and timely manner in accordance with RT Department standards.  Evaluates care provided by direct observation.
  • Performs related duties as required.
  • Required:
    • Education: Graduate of an approved and accredited Respiratory Therapy program; Associate degree in Science 
    • Experience: 5 years of Critical Care experience
    • Licensure/Certification: 
      • Minimum of CRT
      • American Heart Association BLS CPR, must be obtained within 7 days of hire
      • American Heart Association ACLS, PALS, and NRP within orientation period.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience: 
      • Level 2 or 3 NICU experience
      • Minimum of 1 year of Team Leader/Supervisory experience 
    • Licensure/Certification: RRT
