Job description

Summary Provides leadership, vision, direction, coordination and management of data and digital projects needed to run the College of Arts and Sciences effectively and efficiently. Collaborates with administrators and staff in the College to pull accurate data from various databases; creates visuals and presentations to assist in communication on critical issues in the College; and coordinates cross-unit projects involving data. Serves as liaison to Information Technology in ordering software and hardware for the College.

Manages College-level dashboards, websites, and other digital systems used on a regular basis by the Dean's Office. Creates visuals and consults with administration and staff across the College to assist in various curricular, resource management, and other projects. Essential Functions Assists the Dean and faculty administrators in their data needs.

Consults with staff, faculty, and faculty administrators across the College on data needs for a wide variety of projects. Liaises with other offices on campus-ITS, the Provost's Office, Institutional Effectiveness, Institutional Research-to locate the right data needed to serve the needs of the College. Serves as the go-to person for the Dean's Office on any data needs.

Creates visuals to communicate effectively on resource issues, enrollment patterns, and other data-oriented topics. Provides project management skills on data-focused projects or on projects for which compelling, clear data is needed, including curricular and student success initiatives; enrollment management and scheduling; and grants/philanthropic applications. Integrates AI and other tools to assist the Dean's Office and College in working more efficiently.

Creates and facilitates training opportunities for faculty, staff, and faculty administrators within A&S regarding efficient and effective use of dashboards and databases Beta-tests and provides insights into technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of work within A&S Assists in generating data to aid in efficient scheduling of courses Sits on committees and represents the College in meetings related to university data governance Serves as point person on technology needs in the College Liaises with data-focused offices on campus (IE, IR, ITS, Provost's Office, Student Success) Coordinates technology refresh program annually As needed, coordinates specialized software requests and software & equipment purchases for the College of Arts & Sciences Serves as staff project coordinator for the A&S AI Sandbox project Web Support for A&S Web Pages Assist Marketing Projects Coordinator in management of college web pages. This may include: Helping to make websites accessible Assisting departments/schools in making web page updates Reorganizing content on the College's website to be easier for students, faculty, and staff to navigate Assist Associate Deans in designing and running surveys and collecting survey data (example: elections for faculty governance committees; chair/director evaluation survey management) Work with A-Deans and Committee Chairs to understand bylaws-related membership needs of committees Set up and test election ballots online Report results and conduct run-off elections as needed Coordinate with Associate Deans the communications necessary to encourage faculty participation in elections Develops web forms as needed to support College events and business Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications The following Degree is required: Bachelor's degree required The following Degree is preferred: Master's degree in Computer Programming, Information Technology, or Information Systems The following Experience is required: 3 years of project management experience The following Experience is preferred: Experience with Web application development Experience in Technology project management Experience working with intermediate to large data sets and analyzing information Additional Information Application Deadline The search committee will review applications until the position is filled; however, for best consideration, applications should be provided by June 2, 2026.
