POSITION: Healthcare Science Instructor (Part-Time)
LOCATION: Monroe High School
JOB SUMMARY:
The Healthcare Science Instructor will provide instruction in various areas of Healthcare Science Technology to ensure that students gain appropriate knowledge and skills about the industry to be prepared for a career and post-secondary opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Hold an associate's degree or higher in a Healthcare related field;
  2. Have a minimum of two (2) years of occupational work experience in the healthcare field;
  3. Proficiency in and knowledge of healthcare systems;
  4. Knowledge of the design and implementation of lesson plans for students;
  5. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  1. Ability to relate and motivate all students with respect to learning styles to make learning meaningful, effective, contextual and involving positive interactions for the ongoing intellectual development of young minds;
  2. Ability to provide remediation appropriate with program standards to impact student learning, progress and development with a wide range of achievement levels;
  3. Ability to use the latest technology in educational and career related technology disciplines including keyboarding and data entry.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Be present, organized and enthusiastically committed to the success of all assigned students for the school calendar year;
  2. Implements curriculum standards using necessary and appropriate instructional methods and materials, which are suited to the well-being of the students and to the nature of the learning activities, program and/or curriculum involved;
  3. Develops detailed instructional plans and instructs designated classes in accordance with formulated plans and outlines, modified as necessary to achieve a mastery of learning objectives for all students;
  4. Accurately evaluates and records student progress; completes all records and reports on time and with accuracy;
  5. Establishes and implements classroom policies and procedures governing student behavior and conduct, provides guidance, counseling and discipline to encourage achievement;
  6. Attends and participates in all required staffing meetings; performs other student-focused responsibilities assigned by the Principal;
  7. Participates in activities to enhance professional skills;
  8. Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the Principal.
