Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages-from infants to seniors. In this role, you'll be the bridge between patients and providers, ensuring each visit runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and room patients, obtain and record vital signs and medical history
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by a provider
  • Process prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies as needed
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and ensure proper specimen handling
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain a sanitary clinical environment
  • Assist with front office duties such as scheduling, referrals, and answering phones
  • Provide patient education and support for follow-up care instructions
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and acceptable approved abbreviations.
  • Certification from an accredited school for Medical Assistance or Associate degree in Medical Assistance
  • Current Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) or Health Care Provider from Red Cross. Must have current BLS card or in the process of getting CPR certified before hire.
