Job description

The Opportunity

Momentum is transforming how we operate by reimagining business processes, embracing AI, and empowering our teams to work smarter. As our MBA Summer Associate, Business Transformation, you'll work directly with senior leadership to redesign how work gets done across the organization. This is an MBA internship taking place in summer 2027.

This isn't a traditional internship or a support role. You'll identify inefficient processes, design AI-enabled workflows, evaluate automation opportunities, and help implement solutions that improve productivity across the business. Your work won't stop at recommendations - you'll help bring new ways of working to life.

You'll leave the summer with meaningful ownership, exposure to executive leadership, and tangible accomplishments that extend well beyond a typical internship experience.

What You'll Do

Projects will be defined and scoped collaboratively but may include:

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve business processes across corporate functions.
  • Designing and prototyping AI-driven workflows that reduce manual effort and improve team efficiency.
  • Mapping current-state processes and designing future-state workflows that improve scalability and user experience.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to identify operational pain points and translate them into technology-enabled solutions.
  • Supporting the implementation, testing, and rollout of AI and automation initiatives.
  • Developing documentation, training materials, and change management resources to support successful adoption.
  • Measuring the impact of transformation initiatives through process metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting.
  • Working cross-functionally with leaders across Finance, Operations, Technology, HR, and Portfolio Companies to drive implementation.
Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program and graduating between December 2027 to June 2028.
  • Has experience with (or a strong interest in) AI, automation, and the future of work.
  • Enjoys solving operational challenges through process redesign and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Thinks systematically and can break down complex workflows into scalable, efficient processes.
  • Is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on implementation.
  • Can communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences through presentations, documentation, and training.
  • Thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys working across multiple teams to drive change.
  • Has a GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Is based in or willing to relocate to Dallas for the summer (full-time, five days per week on-site).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building or deploying AI tools, LLM applications, automation platforms, or workflow solutions (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Automate, Zapier, Make, UiPath, or similar technologies).
  • Experience in business transformation, operational excellence, process improvement, management consulting, or business operations.
  • Familiarity with process mapping methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, or similar frameworks).
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives or organizational change.
  • Proficiency with Excel and experience using data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
