Job description

Balance Staffing is hiring an Accounting Associate in Sonoma, CA for a reputable global packaging and labeling manufacturer specializing in premium wine labels.


This is a full-time, onsite role offering stability, growth, and hands-on accounting experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R) including cash application and billing
  • Work with Sales and Customer Service to recommend credit limits
  • Maintain customer master files and calculate reserves for bad debt
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts and track DSO
  • Process Accounts Payable (A/P), code invoices, expense reports, and run checks
  • Track DPO, reconcile vendor statements, and prepare 1099s
  • Assist with audits, month-end close, and journal entries
  • Handle petty cash and office systems


What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s degree in Business with Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Experience with automated A/R and A/P systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; JD Edwards/AS400 a plus
  • Knowledge of GAAP, credit, collection, and tax rules
  • Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and a team player
