Job description

Description
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounting needs of a fast-paced residential construction company. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience, is highly proficient in QuickBooks and Google Sheets, and is comfortable working with multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Perform daily bookkeeping and general accounting functions
โ€ข Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
โ€ข Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
โ€ข Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
โ€ข Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with the month-end close
โ€ข Track job costs and assist with construction accounting
โ€ข Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and subcontractor records
โ€ข Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
โ€ข Prepare spreadsheets and financial analyses using Google Sheets
โ€ข Work closely with management to ensure accurate budgeting and reporting
โ€ข Support year-end tax preparation and coordinate with the company's CPA
