Where You Will Work Chino is an open-pit copper mining complex located 15 miles from the historic mining community of Silver City in southwestern New Mexico. The historic Chino mine was among the world's first low-grade, open-pit copper mines. Today, the operation consists of a 36,000-metric-ton-per-day concentrator that produces copper and a 150-million-pound-per-year solvent extraction/electrowinning plant that produces copper cathode from solution generated by run-of-mine leaching.

The community of Silver City boasts various restaurants, arts, entertainment, cliff dwellings, festivals and much more. Residents and visitors enjoy gentle four seasons, with three hundred days of sunshine a year and low humidity. Visit Silver City to learn more. This position is not eligible for Freeport-McMoRan immigration work visa sponsorship. What You Will Do Perform accounting and reporting duties primarily focused on the accounting close process.

Responsibilities include recording journal entries, performing financial analysis and account reconciliations among other duties. Attention to detail and good organizational skills are necessary. Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process.

Apply knowledge of accounting policies and procedures to assigned tasks which include recording journal entries and performing research and analysis among other duties. Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries, research, investigation of reconciling items and resolution. Analyze, interpret and communicate to supervisor any action items or variances that are identified in the month-end close and analytical process as appropriate.

Assist in accounting and reporting activities and special projects as assigned. What You Bring To Freeport High School diploma or GED and four (4) years professional experience in accounting, including two (2) years in prolong intellectual instruction (certifications, instructed training, OR on the job training, etc..) in Accounting or Finance; OR Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area and two (2) years professional experience in accounting; OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related area. What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$56,000-$77,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions

Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
