Byrne Zizzi CPA, PLLC is a Mississippi-based tax and accounting firm built on a single idea — Count on Us — with a shared purpose to move beyond tax season and become a year-round partner in our clients’ financial lives. We believe clarity builds confidence, and we bring calm to financial chaos by leading with integrity, respect, and accountability and by educating our clients to plan for what is next. As a Senior CAAS Associate, you will prepare and review complex financial information, manage account records, and analyze financial data for a portfolio of clients across diverse industries. You will lead month-end and annual close-out engagements, mentor associates, and partner with managers to help clients understand the story behind their numbers. This role blends technical depth, client service, and people development in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

  • Quality and Detail Orientation — Produces accurate, complete, well-organized work and avoids negligent errors.
  • Feedback Responsiveness — Seeks, accepts, and applies feedback from reviewers and managers to improve quality and efficiency over time.
  • Client Service Orientation — Builds long-term, trusted relationships and delivers timely, attentive service that exceeds expectations.
  • Learning Agility — Learns new software, processes, and accounting standards quickly and applies them to new situations.

  • Mentorship and Development — Teaches, coaches, and develops associate-level team members; makes oneself available and responsive.
  • Analytical Thinking and Solution Orientation — Recognizes and researches accounting issues, identifies root causes, and develops practical recommendations.
  • Compliance — Adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies; properly handles sensitive information.
  • Effective Time and Task Management — Prioritizes workload across multiple clients and engagements; consistently meets commitments.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May supervise associates and interns on day-to-day assignments. May review associate work products before it moves to final review and provide coaching feedback to support development.
