Accounting Intern
Position Summary
Offered in the spring, summer, and fall terms, this internship role is designed for students pursuing degrees in accounting or related fields. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this part-time position provides a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments while offering practical, hands-on experience in core accounting functions. Depending on your institution's requirements, this role may be eligible for college credit.
  • Spring Internship: Approximately 14 weeks, from mid-January to the end of April.
  • Fall Internship: Approximately 14 weeks, from September to mid-December.
  • Summer Internship: Approximately 10 weeks, from June to mid-August.

The Accounting Intern will support the accounting team by performing essential operational tasks such as data entry, journal preparation, invoice processing, and reporting. This role is intended to provide a foundational experience in a professional finance environment, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Key Objectives
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness in data entries into internal systems.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of recurring financial reports.
  • Provide exposure to a variety of accounting functions and duties

Primary Responsibilities
  • Enter and file invoice data for accounts payable processes.
  • Prepare fixed asset documentation and associated invoices for recording.
  • Assist with preparation of journal entries under the guidance of the accounting team.
  • Support account reconciliation and audit-related documentation.
  • Verify and organize daily retail paperwork against system records.
  • Distribute invoices to consumer and commercial accounts on scheduled timelines.
  • Compile and share reporting related to commercial account activities.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting team as assigned.
