Accounting Analyst
Thomasville, GA | $15.00 - $20.00 / Hour

An insurance company is looking for an accounting analyst to help assist clients and other departments with accounting transactions. You must be punctual, reliable, and ready to help. You will be expected to be empathetic when helping grieving families and strive to have a positive and help-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
  • Assist clients and agents as required
  • Perform and process policy maintenance, policy loans, surrenders, first-year death claims, return of premium, refunds
  • Process client and agent payments as well as related accounting transactions
  • Assist other departments as necessary with accounting transactions
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous Accounting work
  • (Preferred) Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Accounting (relevant years of experience may be substituted for degree)
Requirements
  • Be able to work with others with no disruptions
  • Have basic computer knowledge
  • Have great customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Maintain a positive outlook
  • Work independently and carry out assignments to completion
