Pay Grade/Pay Range:  Minimum: $18.32 - Midpoint: $21.97 (Hourly N4)


Department/Organization: 502702 - Campus Financial Affairs


Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some weekends & extended hours


Job Summary: The Accounting Assistant II maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support. Assists University staff in understanding industry standards, current laws, and university policy as it relates to the financial affairs of the University. Provides guidance and trains entry-level Accounting Assistants.


Additional Department Summary: Invoices electronically in the computerized accounting system. Completes payment of SupeStore invoices and credits that are sent to Accounts Payable. Maintains "Received Not Invoiced" and outstanding invoices in the computerized accounting system. Assists with cash control functions.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR associate's degree or higher.


Skills and Knowledge: Basic computer skills. Ability to use a 10-key calculator. Good communications skills, both written and verbal. Familiar with Windows, Excel and Word. Ability to multi-task.


Preferred Qualifications: Degree in accounting.
