Job description

Assistant/Associate Professor in Accounting

The School of Accountancy in the College of Business at the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is accepting applications for a 9 month tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Accounting. The candidate selected for this position will start in August 2026. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting, participate in research and scholarly activities consistent with AACSB expectations, and engage in service activities within the school, college, university, profession and community.

This position requires a Doctorate in Accounting or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution (ABD will be considered). Applicants should demonstrate capacity for high quality teaching (as evidenced by teaching evaluations, if available). Evidence of scholarly productivity is essential, in addition to strong communication and interpersonal skills. Teaching interests in accounting information systems, data analytics, or AI are preferred but all areas will be considered.
