Job description

Soin Medical Center | Beavercreek | Full-Time | First Shift 


The Culinary Associate I:

Ensures dishes, utensils, pots and pans are clean, dry, and stored appropriately.  Performs general cleaning tasks as assigned, including mopping floors.  Follows HACCP principles in completing tasks.  Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Accurately manages position paperwork (dish machine temperatures, 3-compartment sink form, etc.).
  • Follows correct hand hygiene procedures (uses gloves when scrapping trays, washes hands between working on dirty side of dish room and clean side, etc.).
  • Utilizes appropriate scripting and responds to patients/internal and external customers (responds to internal customers such as Cafeteria staff, Expeditors, Call Center staff, Supervisors, Physician Lounge attendant, and each other in a way that promotes collaboration).
  • Effectively and safely uses position equipment, performing applicable cleaning/sanitation procedures (ensures dish room chemical dispensers have product, empties and cleans dish machine after each meal, de-limes dis machine on a weekly basis, ensures all items are clean and dry before being put away, etc.).

Job Qualifications:

Able to walk and stand for long periods of time

Able to push and pull wheeled carts

Able to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions

Able to tolerate frequent temperature changes, working around equipment that generates heat, steam and cold


High School diploma or GED preferred

Food service or customer service experience preferred
