Senior Tax Associate - High Net Worth – Atlanta, GA

Who: An experienced tax professional with at least three years of public accounting experience and eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.

What: Prepares and conducts initial reviews of trust and estate tax returns, fiduciary accountings, and complex high-net-worth tax assignments.

When: Full-time position available immediately.

Where: Within a confidential professional services firm supporting high-net-worth and fiduciary clients.

Position Overview

The Senior Tax Associate – High Net Worth prepares and performs initial reviews of trust and estate income tax returns and fiduciary accountings, supports diverse tax assignments, conducts tax research, and contributes to exceptional client service while maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and conduct initial reviews of 1041 trust and estate income tax returns.
  • Prepare fiduciary accountings with working knowledge of state statutes and document review requirements.
  • Analyze tax issues and form accurate, well-supported conclusions.
  • Perform diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of senior leadership.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, high-quality work, and adherence to firm standards.
  • Meet time constraints and client deadlines consistently.
  • Participate in firm training to further develop technical expertise.
  • Deliver outstanding client service through accuracy, responsiveness, and high-quality output.
  • Conduct tax research and become proficient with firm reference tools.
Qualifications
  • Meets all requirements to sit for the CPA exam (CPA preferred).
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience with increasing complexity in tax return preparation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
