Job Description:

As a Tax Associate, you will provide tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base across a variety of dynamic industries. You will work closely with senior team members to prepare tax returns, support client engagements, and develop technical tax knowledge while delivering an exceptional client experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, individuals, and other entity types
  • Assist with multi-state tax compliance and related filings
  • Support tax consulting and planning engagements by gathering and analyzing financial and tax data
  • Conduct tax research and assist with the interpretation and application of tax laws and regulations
  • Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards and deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to gather information and resolve issues
  • Assist with responding to tax notices, requests, and other client inquiries
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Utilize tax software and technology tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation and compliance processes
  • Contribute to a positive team environment focused on collaboration, continuous learning, and excellent client service
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends through ongoing professional development
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting required
  • CPA eligibility required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience
  • Experience with partnership, S corporation, individual, and/or multi-state taxation preferred
  • Strong writing, communication, and tax research skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with tax technology and tax preparation software is a plus
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service and building strong professional relationships

At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $56,200.00 - $107,700.00 per year.
