HR Coordinator, Recruitment & Onboarding
Job Type: Temporary (12-Month Assignment)
Pay Rate: $30-32/hr
Location: Hawthorne, NY | On-site (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm)

Job Overview
Madison Approach Staffing is recruiting for an HR Coordinator, Recruitment & Onboarding for the Advanced Clinical Recruitment team for our client's Human Resources department. Our client is a large healthcare organization seeking a detail-oriented HR professional to provide administrative support for the recruitment team and ensure a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. This role oversees day-to-day recruitment operations, processes new hire documentation, conducts background checks, and builds relationships with hiring managers and educational institutions. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, strong customer service orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a 12-month temporary assignment.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Support
  • Provide seamless positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding
  • Assist recruiters with prescreening candidates, setting up interviews, and coordinating hiring events
  • Maintain accurate data in applicant tracking system (HealthCare Source)
  • Establish and build relationships with hiring managers, departments, colleges, and universities to assist in recruiting
  • Keep up to date on all pre-employment guidelines adhering to state and federal regulations
Onboarding & New Hire Processing
  • Process all required new hire forms accurately for internal and external applicants
  • Schedule HR appointments in conjunction with Occupational Health for new hire onboarding
  • Provide onboarding documents and ensure completion of all required paperwork
  • Verify all credentials and licenses with candidates
  • Provide information to candidates about benefits (union and non-union), PTO plans, and retirement plans
Background Screening & Compliance
  • Conduct background checks including SEL, SCR, CHRC, and other applicable checks as needed
  • Perform reference checks for candidates
  • Ensure compliance with all pre-employment screening requirements and regulations
  • Maintain confidential candidate and employee records
Customer Service & Communication
  • Provide high level of customer service to internal and external candidates, hiring managers, and leadership
  • Respond to candidate inquiries professionally and promptly
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders throughout recruitment and onboarding process
  • Participate in and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Support special projects as assigned

  • Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
