Position Responsibilities: 

  • Support state and local advocacy plans to advance the company’s policy positions and issue solutions
  • Develop, manage, and enable delivery of key messages to important stakeholder audiences that clearly define and communicate the company’s strategic business priorities and promote the company’s brands and programs
  • Manage the identification of government-related business opportunities and facilitate discussions with government to support those efforts
  • Identify and inform the company of all matters of interest and provide analysis of legislative or proposed regulations
  • Update reports with actions taken related to legislative or proposed regulations
  • Execute the company’s corporate social responsibility and community engagement strategy
  • Travel up to 35%
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 plus years of Government Relations, Public Affairs and Community Relations experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) and 9 plus years of Government Relations, Public Affairs and Community Relations experience
  • Experience in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing the needs and concerns of multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite i.e., Word, PowerPoint and Excel, etc.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Brand Management experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Budget Management experience
