11:00 pm - 7:00 am, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, 5 days per week
Work Shift
8 hours shift with mandatory and voluntary overtime. Shift work, as well as weekends, holidays are required.
PPE:
Hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes, bootie covers, gloves as needed and required, hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles as needed, beard/hairnet, face shield, autoclave gloves, protective clothing and other PPE as assigned and required.

Typical duties of the job include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up laboratory equipment
  • Calibrate, clean, sterilize, and maintain all appropriate equipment and work areas
  • Prepare samples for testing and analysis
  • Operate and trouble shoot laboratory equipment common to Memphis laboratories
  • Weigh, analyze, and measure ingredients used in testing
  • Record and compile test results
  • Enter test results into computerized databases and/or data entry books
  • Perform job duties in a manner that follow food safety and quality guidelines including but not limited to HACCP, GMPs, QA Policies, Sanitation, and Pest Control.
