Job description

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Program Analyst to support 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing in San Diego, CA. The analyst will collect aviation and sustainment lessons in OCONUS environments and support joint and combined operations.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collect aviation lessons learned from forward-deployed operations
  • Support joint and combined operations with allied and partner forces
  • Ensure comprehensive lessons learned coverage for deployed forces
  • Provide analytical support for forward-based forces operations
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher. Education may be substituted with greater experience and/or certifications.
  • Graduate of Marine Corps Command & Staff College or equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE) (preferred)
  • Derivative Classification

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • At least ten (10) years of experience serving in the US Military, with a strong preference for service in the Marine Corps. Twelve (12)+ years of experience required if substituting experience for education. Substituted experience may be a combination of military service, DoD civilian, or DoD contractor in similar role(s).
  • Experience in logistics, supply, operations or aviation MOS or serving in a battalion or squadron level (or above) position.
  • Prior experience conducting in-depth research and complete and definitive analysis, documenting lessons learned, developing and writing military quality reports to include situational reports, developing planning documents and proposals, and creating presentations.
  • Experience developing lessons learned questionaires and conducting interviews, or similar types of documentation and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate and interface with Military leaders and commanders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, build rapport with end users, customers, and unit leaders in order to develop effective working relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills and strong analytical skills. Stong Mircosoft Office, 365, and SharePoint skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Ability to adapt to changing working environments and operational tempos
  • Advanced understanding of military tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP)
  • Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM), Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
