Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Spearhead the enhancement and maturity of the enterprise-wide risk assessment framework, ensuring robust procedures for risk identification and a consistent evaluation methodology

  • Synthesize complex risk data into actionable insights, empowering senior management and key committees to make informed, strategic decisions

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, fostering proactive risk management and resilience by facilitating discussions on risk exposure, treatment choices and action plans evaluations during the annual Enterprise Risk Management Cycle

  • Coordinating ad hoc risk assessments with business units, crafting effective responses to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities for sustainable growth

  • Enhancing the configuration requirements for the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tool, defining requirements for harmonized risk register, ensuring efficient workflows, notifications, reporting and access control mechanisms

  • Leading the ongoing updates and refinement of the enterprise risk dashboard, ensuring timely delivery of critical insights to senior management and relevant decision-makers

  • Developing uniform risk reporting practices across the organization, preparing detailed reports for quarterly meetings with executive leadership

  • Supporting risk training and education initiatives regarding the enterprise risk framework, working with other risk areas, and assisting in the development and rollout of content

  • Promoting a strong risk culture rooted in integrity, transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, ensuring these values permeate throughout the organization

  • Promoting the exchange of ideas and experience among stakeholders with responsibility for risks

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's) is a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Model Risk, Operational Risk, IT Audit, or other similar risk consulting / internal control functions (e.g. internal audit, compliance, fraud mitigation, etc.) in a complex institution and/or highly matrixed environment

  • Over 10 years of experience in a highly regulated industry with a dynamic regulatory framework and cross-functional experience is a strong plus

  • Strong persuasive communication skills and the ability to empathize with stakeholders, enabling effective communication, collaboration, and positive influence

  • Adaptable communication style, capable of adjusting the level of detail based on the audience

  • Proven track record of working across diverse cultures and multi-functional teams

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement, advisory skills, and a commitment to lifelong learning

  • Ability to maintain a relentless can-do attitude, fostering a proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges and conflicts where differing points of view are common

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools is a plus

  • Professional certifications in Risk Management is a plus
