Job description

Title: Electrical Data Analyst

Location: Seattle, WA 98104 Hybrid

Duration: 6 months

Pay Range: $28/hr - $36/hr

  • Client is seeking an Electrical Data Analyst who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in running large information technology projects in various customer businesses areas at a Utility client headquartered in the Seattle area.

  • The person in this position will report to the Automated Meter Infrastructure Strategy team, and perform mapping functions with a focus on data integrity.

  • They will work primary on data discrepancies and validation between clients AMI Analytics software Advanced Grid Analytics (AGA) and Looped Radial Distribution System (LRDS) GIS mapping, as well as verification & mapping of transformer-to-meter relationships.



Location: This position is hybrid. May require fieldwork to physically verify electrical model conditions


Responsibilities:


  • Utilize AGA model validation tool to monitor & identify electrical phase mismatching, load islanding, model looping, and incorrect transformer-to-meter relationships.

  • Leverage ESRI ArcMap software to make edits to the LRDS electrical model

  • Field & research discrepancy reports to determine required corrections

  • Consult data tables & complete meter-to-transformer ties

  • Use MS Access databases to track & verify mapping changes

  • May require fieldwork to physically verify electrical model conditions



Required Education & Experience:


  • Requires two years electrical engineering experience, and an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or two years of college level instruction in electrical engineering (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).

  • Enjoys working with data and good with detail-orientated projects



Desired Qualifications:


  • BS in Engineering or GIS fields

  • Working knowledge/familiarity of GIS

  • Electrical Engineering or GIS experience at a utility preferred

  • 1 or more years electrical distribution system experience
