An Associate Territory Manager, Surgical Workflows Infection Control (SWIC)

Job Overview

The Associate Territory Manager (ATM), Surgical Workflows Infection Control (SWIC) will be primarily responsible for sales and support of the Getinge Surgical Table portfolio and Getinge Ultrasonic Ultra Clean product portfolio. The ATM will also support the Territory Manager (TM) efforts in attaining the overall sales quota for SW. Additionally, the position works in a matrix sales and support environment under the supervision of one or more assigned Territory Mangers and will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The position also provides follow-up product training as required and directed by the Regional Sales Manager.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Responsible for working with the Territory Managers (TMs) to meet or exceed sales targets, primarily for the Surgical Tables portfolio and Ultra Clean product portfolio, with focus on supporting and growing the HCA/HealthTrust business and Hybrid OR portfolio.
  • Responsible for supporting the TMs in day-to-day activities so the TM will be able to focus on exceeding sales targets. This support role will include in-servicing IC and Surgical Equipment, trouble shooting, problem solving for customers, creating quotes for TMs and assisting with preparing and giving customer presentations and equipment demos/trails.
  • Monitor and update individual forecasted sales data on a weekly basis with a focus on accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Assist TMs in providing Return on Investment (ROI) and/or business case information to justify purchasing Getinge Surgical Workplace products and assist TMs with this information.
  • Manage forecasting, monitoring, closing and post-sales support of all territory business, including assisting TMs with these processes.
  • Where possible, promote all Getinge product offerings, including all equipment lines, training programs, and service contracts.
  • Assist TMs and manage own follow-up, sales planning, and territory management.
  • Identify required resources to effectively position Getinge during the sales and support process and provide support to TMs with these actions.
  • Track, report, and analyze sales opportunities with TMs and Regional Sales Manager on a routine basis.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

This position will cover the North Central Territory (Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska) - candidate located preferably in/near Chicago, Milwaukee, or Minneapolis.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 1 year of work experience preferred, including internship experience or student leadership positions.
  • 1 year applicable B2B and/or medical sales experience relevant to product line, which includes direct selling experience to physicians and hospitals, preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of specified functional area, and application of business concepts, procedures, and practices.
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task in a highly demanding matrix environment, and ability to function well in a team selling approach.
  • Presentation skills including teaching, presenting, and speaking to groups.
  • Establish and cultivate an extensive network of support to facilitate completion of assignments.
  • Ability to influence middle management and external customers on technical as well as new business solutions.
  • Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal and organizational skills; self- motivated and directed to achieve assigned goals.
  • Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management CRM) tools.
  • Must travel as requred to customer sites (75% and above).
  • Must reside within the assigned region.
