ABOUT THE ROLE

 The Industrial IT Full Stack / Back End & AI Integration Snr. Engineer role is to contribute her/his skills to the development of company Industrial Solutions including AI-powered features and cloud-native deployments. In this role, she/he will be responsible for creating integrated systems and tools that support company strategy & roadmap. She/he will report directly to the Head of IT Industrial (Cross-function) supporting the overall Industrial Business objectives of actively transforming the company. The ideal candidate is a proactive, communicative collaborator, equipped with the technical skills to execute a product's lifecycle and deliver high quality code, and integrate AI capabilities into industrial applications. Priority is to ensure effectiveness of the solutions in scope, and have an efficient work model with offshore teams and the rest of the IT to execute development and recurrent cutover operational tasks for customized solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Design, develop, and deploy strategic functional/technical Industrial solutions as per business needs. Contribute her/his full stack expertise to the optimum definition of the named platforms with careful consideration for IT/OT compliance rules.
  • Partner with other IT/business stakeholders to define a technical roadmap, identify dependencies, and contribute to architect solutions that meet business needs with minimum deployment business impact
  • Participate in code reviews and help maintain high standards of code quality
  • Evaluate, prototype, and integrate AI-powered capabilities into industrial workflows - e.g., intelligent document processing, anomaly detection, natural language interfaces for plant data, and AI-assisted decision support tools
  • Support the cloud infrastructure lifecycle for solutions in scope - CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and monitoring/observability.
  • Deliver limited-defect products through ubiquitous test automation, including validation of AI integration points and cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other IT members and leaders within the Architecture/Engineering teams to refine best practices and processes to execute
  • Preparation of requirements analysis with focus on technical specifications, risk analysis, cost analysis, project plan, user acceptance tests performance & coordination - from small to complex solutions.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and transitioned to the operational support.
  • Participate to Industrial solutions 2nd/3rd level support

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:  Degree in, Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent IT focused work experience and technical training/certification

Additional Education Preferred: Master degree or equivalent experience (> 6 years) is a plus \
Required Work Experience:
Knowledge of the Construction & Building Materials industry with focus on plant manufacturing systems (historians, quality, production, process, maintenance.) is an asset. Other industries experience (mining, oil & gas, auto.) may also be considered

Required Technical Skills: Digital solutions technology stack (front end, back end, DBMS), AI integration technology (OpenAI/Anthropic/Google AI APIs, GCP Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in platforms such as; Angular, React, VueJs, JavaScript, jQuery, Ionic, Bootstrap, jStat, Node.js, Express.js, Python, Java, Spring Boot, AWSLambda, MySQL, Postgres, Firestore, DynamoDB is an asset.
  • Prompt engineering, RAG patterns, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, pgvector, Weaviate)
  • AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel)
  • Solutions deployment/ cloud platforms (e.g. AWS / Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform ), , including hands-on IaC, CI/CD pipeline configuration (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), and cloud monitoring/observability (CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana)
  • Experienced in developer Frameworks (e.g. GitLab)
  • Knowledge in automated testing (eg, Cypress),
  • Experience in Corporate solution & services operation and delivery within an international group is an asset
  • Strong problem solving; experience in managing IT/Industrial Projects. :
