Energy & Infrastructure Associate

Our client, a premier international law firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its highly regarded Energy & Infrastructure practice in New York.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with experience in the energy, power, transmission, infrastructure, or project finance sectors to work on sophisticated domestic and international transactions. The successful candidate will advise sponsors, investors, lenders, and project developers on complex acquisitions, financings, investments, and development projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and equity investments involving energy and infrastructure assets and portfolios
  • Support the development and financing of power generation, transmission, and other infrastructure projects
  • Conduct and supervise legal due diligence reviews
  • Draft and negotiate principal transaction documents and ancillary agreements
  • Coordinate with attorneys across multiple disciplines, including:
    • Tax
    • Environmental
    • Real Estate
    • Regulatory
    • Corporate and Finance
  • Manage transaction timelines, closing processes, and post-closing matters
  • Assist in structuring complex project finance and investment transactions
