Position Overview
This hybrid role offers an opportunity to contribute to the evolving landscape of real estate finance within a leading publicly traded REIT. The Associate - Finance will operate at the intersection of operational finance, advanced analytics, and emerging AI-enabled tools to improve operational visibility and support smarter, faster, and more data-driven decision-making.
Working closely with finance, asset management, and operations teams, this individual will analyze property- and portfolio-level performance and translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytically driven finance professional with strong communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying insights to finance team and cross-functional stakeholders. This position offers meaningful exposure to key areas of the business, including portfolio performance and operational finance, while providing strong opportunities for professional growth and expanded responsibility within a dynamic real estate investment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze operating performance across properties and portfolios, leveraging advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across revenue, expenses, occupancy, and NOI
  • Perform detailed property- and portfolio-level performance analysis, evaluating operating drivers such as lease activity, expense trends, and operating margins to support informed business decisions
  • Work with operations, asset management, and portfolio teams to provide financial insights and help identify opportunities to improve property performance and control costs
  • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of operating budgets and forecasts by analyzing historical results and performance trends
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial materials and earnings support, including performance analysis, variance explanations, and data-driven insights
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Excel to communicate financial and operational results to internal stakeholders
  • Help improve reporting processes by supporting automation initiatives and enhancing AI-assisted analysis tools
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, financial model integrity, and analytical consistency to support reliable reporting and decision-making
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, real estate finance, or a related analytical role
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel, with strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large datasets and translate insights into strategic recommendations
  • Experience analyzing financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage automation, analytics tools, or AI-enabled platforms to improve financial processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
