What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:

Reporting and Analysis

  • Provide reporting for key performance indicators including volume and margin results, pricing actions, targets and opportunities and other strategic initiatives supporting margin performance.
  • Create and manage effective financial metrics to provide insights to management to support decision making.
  • Create ad-hoc analysis to anticipate any scenarios impacting the performance of the business.

Budget and Forecasting

  • Manage financial budget cycles including processes, tools, timeline, and analytics for developing annual targets.
  • Develop monthly volume and margin forecasts that drive visibility into near term and annual business performance.
  • Preparing 5 year growth plan, including modeling for organic and inorganic (acquisition) growth.

Financial Systems and Data

  • Leverage systems and data integrity processes to deliver financial information to users with accuracy to drive business decision making.
  • Identify and implement business process changes and/or systems enhancements to improve data capture and support continuous improvement processes.

Accounting and Controls

  • Perform month end closing procedures to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage regional product costing processes to maintain accurate cost data on all purchased and manufactured products.
  • Support external audit requests on validation of financial statements.
  • Maintain and implement controls to prevent control weaknesses and improve financial transparency.

What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
  • MBA in Accounting/Finance/Analytics preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in financial reporting, including management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.  Chemical manufacturing background a plus.
  • Strong, established financial analysis skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent Analytical skills, ability to read and translate data into information.
  • Self-starter with ability to complete projects start-to-finish.
  • Must be trustworthy with confidential information.
  • Strong communication skills; must be able to work effectively with peers and all levels of Company management.
  • Team player with ability to interact effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Proactive and well organized.
  • Consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP a plus) and CPM ( OneStream a plus).
