Job description

What You'll Do
The Associate Client Documents & Systems Analyst provides specialized expertise in onboarding new non-qualified plans and implementing changes to existing non-qualified plans. This includes the creation and revision of plan documents along with building the plan's provisions on Principal's recordkeeping platform. Supports the onboarding and updating implementation processes both tactically and strategically to ensure satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Partner with the Client Onboarding Manager, Client Service Manager, and other internal teams to create a smooth onboarding or updating experience while prioritizing and processing daily work demands through various tools to meet customer and team needs. Manage the process of creating and revising plan documents with the necessary language and attachments to achieve the desired plan setup. Ensure all contracts are established properly on all systems. Create accurate enrollment experiences through online setup and proper support materials.
  • Analyze and communicate the impact of selected provisions on overall plan structure and administration. Recognize unusual situations, proactively conduct independent research, and/or coordinate with internal partners to identify solutions and communicate findings to affected parties.
  • Identify and implement solutions for operational efficiencies within client onboarding services as well as develop and maintain documentation and procedures for the processes utilized. Make recommendations and assist with implementation with an objective of department efficiency and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance to Client Onboarding Manager or Client Service Manager on specific client information or direction necessary to create or revise documents and plan provisions. Coordinate with Client Onboarding Manager or Client Service Manager on deliverables with special timing needs.
  • Promote team development through shared knowledge and information with team members in working to resolve unusual or challenging situations. Assist with the training and mentoring of other team members. Provide technical assistance for other roles or tasks and procedures. Perform quality assurance and internal audits at various points in the process.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our record-keeping system, plan contract, services, and plan/service documents.
  • Other job-related duties or special projects as needed.

Who You Are
  • Relevant professional experience in onboarding, insurance, financial services, or comparable functions, demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, and/or education, totaling 6+ years.
  • 1+ years of related non-qualified experience, preferably within Principal.
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, or working with legal documents, plan documents, policies, contracts, or other complex business documentation preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and Salesforce.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of non-qualified plans, terminology, contract documents, manuals, and procedures.
  • Advanced business unit knowledge and technical skills of non-qualified products and regulations.
  • Experience analyzing and communicating the impact of non-qualified plan provisions.
  • Ability to recognize document interdependencies and system relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify missing or conflicting information and communicate corrective action needs.
  • Must be accurate, organized, able to meet deadlines, and follow through on tasks.
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships within the organization.

Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Time Off Program
