Manufacturing Associate I-III - Drug Substance
Chicago, IL - Full-Time, Permanent
We are placing Manufacturing Associates with a leading biologics manufacturer in Chicago, IL. Multiple openings across MFG I, II, and III levels. Full-time, permanent position - not contract. 1st and 2nd shift available.
You will be working within the Drug Substance manufacturing team, executing both upstream and downstream cGMP manufacturing operations supporting clinical and commercial biologics production. Hands-on, production floor work across the full bioprocess.
What you'll be doing:
- Executing upstream operations including cell culture, bioreactor setup, and inoculation
- Executing downstream operations including chromatography, TFF, and filtration
- Media and buffer preparation, weighing and dispensing of raw materials
- Operating and monitoring PLC controls, HMI interfacing, and in-process testing - pH, conductivity, spectroscopy
- Completing batch records and cGMP documentation accurately and on time
- Maintaining cleanroom conditions through daily and weekly cleaning routines
- Reporting non-conformances and deviations to the shift supervisor
- Working in compliance with cGMP, EHS, and site SOPs at all times
What you need:
- Experience in upstream and/or downstream cGMP biologics manufacturing
- Familiarity with bioreactor operations, chromatography, filtration, or fermentation processes
- Comfortable with batch records, MES documentation, and GMP compliance
- Associate degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field - or equivalent industry experience
