Located in downtown Augusta, The Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University is a wholly unique public/private collaboration. As the only place in the United States where professionals in cyber defense and security work and learn under one roof, our partners include academia, government (federal, state, and local), law enforcement (federal, state, and local), the U.S. Dept of War, the U.S. Dept of Energy, and private sector businesses.
The Georgia Cyber Center is designed to meet the growing need for cybersecurity talent in Georgia, the nation, and across the globe. The Georgia Cyber Center is home to certificate, undergraduate, and graduate level programs in cyber security and sciences. The Center also features the cutting-edge Georgia Cyber Range, the Cyber Resiliency Center, a 390-seat auditorium, an incubator to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, classrooms, and serves as a hub for technology startups.
The Center includes leasable space available to firms and organizations supporting the state's cybersecurity ecosystem who can leverage the center's resources and the convenience of co-location with state, federal, and other industry associates. Job Summary
Leads the development and production of high-quality multimedia content that supports the Georgia Cyber Center's mission, brand, and strategic initiatives. Oversees the full content lifecycle from concept through delivery, including video, podcast, and digital storytelling, while managing projects, partnerships, and production logistics.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT AND STORYTELLING:
Draft and edit information for various communication outlets
Produce written materials, scripts, podcasts, video, and recordings
Develop and create relevant, original, high-quality content for social media platforms
Write and refine scripts, interview questions, and messaging to ensure clarity and consistency
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop compelling visual storytelling
VIDEO AND MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION:
Serve as producer for all video content across the Georgia Cyber Center
Plan, produce, and edit video content including testimonials, commercials, digital ads, event recaps, and organizational updates
Lead the full production lifecycle from ideation through post-production
Develop, launch, and manage a Georgia Cyber Center podcast
Optimize content for social media, web, email, and paid channels
Ensure all content meets brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and quality expectations
EVENT AND FIELD PRODUCTION:
Travel throughout Georgia to capture on-site video content, conduct interviews, and support regional initiatives
Oversee and execute all video needs for events, including recap and promotional content
PRODUCTION OPERATIONS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Handle production logistics including equipment management, location scouting, scheduling, and coordination
Maintain and organize a centralized media library of video assets
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices
OTHER: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in communication, visual arts, or a related field with two years of experience in video production. Strong technical background in video production, equipment maintenance and interfaces is required.

Experience with developing social media content
Strong on-camera interviewing skills with ability to make subjects feel comfortable and draw out authentic, compelling stories
Experience developing and launching podcasts, including distribution strategy and audience growth

Knowledge of research, video production, audio mixing, podcast hosting/production, and social media content Creation

Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B9
Salary: Minimum $48,800/annually
Salary to be commensurate with the qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
