Job Title: Associate

Overview

DB Global Technology, Inc. seeks an Associate in Cary, NC to develop and refine cloud architecture and roadmaps, including standards, guidelines, and best practices, to support cloud adoption aligned with the technology vision and strategy. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent and three (3) years of experience designing and implementing distributed data processing pipelines incorporating performance tuning, partitioning, and fault tolerance using Apache Spark (Spark SQL and Spark Streaming) on cloud and Hadoop-based platforms; developing cloud-based data architectures and data lakes leveraging storage and compute services while ensuring robust data security and access controls; building near-real-time and batch data pipelines with Apache Kafka and REST API integrations to enable scalable, event-driven processing; creating metadata-driven ingestion and transformation frameworks to support reusable, configurable pipelines across diverse data sources; operating big data workloads in distributed environments, including Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, and YARN) and managing cloud equivalents, including AWS/GCP/Azure; managing enterprise data workflow orchestration and monitoring using Airflow, Control-M, and cloud-native scheduling and alerting mechanisms for production-grade systems; implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation with version control, automated builds, and Infrastructure-as-Code using Git, Jenkins, and Terraform; and integrating heterogeneous enterprise data sources and relational databases, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL, and data storage formats, including Parquet, JSON, and XML.
