Job description

Lynch & Associates is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm located in New Berlin and Burlington, Wisconsin with a family focused culture. Our core business includes civil engineering, surveying, construction observation, and municipal services. We provide innovative solutions through technology, inspired design, and client centric customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Survey Crew Chief I and II to join our team.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 3 - 10 years of experience
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Associates Degree and 2 or more years of experience or comparable work experience
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Essential Responsibilities:
Candidates would be required to perform the following tasks:
  • Complete various surveying tasks with final plans reviewed by a Professional Land Surveyor
  • Work under direct supervision with all work reviewed by a survey lead
  • Perform construction observation services, if needed
  • Have a working knowledge of surveying equipment and survey software to perform field tasks for the development of certified survey maps and plats of survey, topographic surveys, and construction layout and staking
  • Perform field surveying and construction staking services
  • Communicate with project teams in all offices
  • Limited responsibilities in directing staff on project specific tasks
  • Limited communication with clients, peers, and agencies on project specific tasks
  • No physical limitations to restrict the ability to work through inclement weather or terrain, remain standing or walking for several hours at a time, or lift 40 pounds
  • Have the ability to provide overtime to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain insurability under the Lynch & Associates Automotive policy to operate a company or personal vehicle to conduct business
  • Assist in any other assigned tasks in support of the Lynch & Associates team
