We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Field Engineer to oversee and support the operational aspects of utility power construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing resrouces, ensuring the smooth operation of field activities, and supporting project teams throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 


Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Support the planning, scheduling and execution of utility power construction projects, including power lines, substations, and other infrastructure projects 
  • Resource Management: Coordinate the availability and allocation of equipment, materials, and personnel to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget 
  • Logistics support: Manage logistics related to the delivery, storage and handling of materials and equipment on site. Ensure all supplies are available for construction teams when needed. 
  • Scheduling: Work closely with project managers to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and any delays are communicated and managed effectively 
  • Field Support: Assist with the daily operations on-site, including tracking project progress, addressing issues in real-time, and communicating with the construction crew to ensure alignment with project goals 
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Monitor compliance with construction procedures and document any deviations
  • Safety Coordination: Support safety efforts on-site, ensuring that safety protocols are followed and promoting a safety-first culture among field personnel. Conduct safety briefings and assist in hazard mitigation
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between field personnel, project management, and stakeholders. Ensure that everyone involved in the project is kept informed of developments, schedules and any potential issues 
  • Documentation management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including permits, inspections, delivery receipts and other critical project files 
  • Problem resolution: Identify operational challenges, propose solutions, and work with project team to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Admin or a related field
  • Experience: 
    • 0-2+ years of experience in utility construction, project coordination or a related field 
    • Experience in managing or coordinating construction operations in the utility power industry is preferred 
  • Technical skills
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, constractors and external stakeholders 
    • Organizational skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 
    • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project needs
  • Pay: 60-68K
