Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Leadership Council (MLC) is the digital transformation division of the National Association of Manufacturers and is the world's first member-driven, global business leadership network dedicated to senior executives in the manufacturing industry. The MLC's mission is to help senior executives define and shape a better future for themselves, their organizations, and the industry at large by focusing on the intersection of critical business and technology issues that will drive growth today and in the future. The Council offers an extensive portfolio of leadership networking, research, thought leadership content, and professional development products, programs, and services.
This position is a key member of the membership account management team and is responsible for engaging key contacts at member organizations through a proven consultative membership journey.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior-level executives and supporting teams at member organizations in order to engage their companies in membership;
  • Manage the entire membership journey from onboarding through the service period and subsequent renewal;
  • Strategically manage territory of assigned member companies through advanced segmentation, qualification and prioritization;
  • Perform account analysis to understand the nuances of each account and what will drive value for individual members;
  • Create formal engagement plan for strategic accounts, both large dollar and strategic relationships;
  • Develop customized service plans when necessary;
  • Grow and develop roster of individuals engaging in membership at each account;
  • Through outbound campaigns, including emails and calling, recruit members to virtual and live events. Understand when to suppress communication to members for whom an event is not a fit;
  • Demonstrate the value-proposition of the membership through deep-dive calls with IRI leaders on membership services and programs;
  • Work with Vice President to engage internal stakeholders to support member service and renewal strategy;
  • Work with Vice President to upward manage internal stakeholders involved in account renewal strategy;
  • Work with Vice President to identify opportunities for NAM Board engagement with members;
  • Work with Vice President to draft communications from senior leadership to members;
  • Work with Vice President to prepare briefs and backgrounders on member organizations for senior leadership;
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly renewal activities and revenue goals;
  • Leverage Salesforce to manage pipeline and day-to-day activities.

We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • 5-7 years of experience in scheduling pitch meetings, inside sales or account management;
  • Prior experience in for-profit membership, research program, advisory and/or professional services;
  • Familiarity with the Challenger Sale methodology in previous roles a plus;
  • Background or strong interest in politics and business policy issues is highly desirable;
  • Prior political fundraising experience a plus;
  • Effective and influential presentation skills;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during high volume work periods;
  • Excited to work effectively as a team member focused on team goals;
  • Motivated by work in a high expectations, rapid-response and deadline-driven environment;

Salary Range: $76,875 - $92,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
