Associate Email Marketing Manager

We're a highly collaborative group responsible for strategizing, creating, and executing content across channels that engage and inspire our customers. Our work blends creativity, analytics, and marketing strategy. As the Associate Email Marketing Manager, you'll join a passionate team that loves what they do and thrives on collaboration, creativity, and data-driven decision making.

As the Associate Email Marketing Manager, you'll own the planning, strategy, and execution of customer-facing email marketing campaigns across multiple Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen businesses. Working cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, Retail, Inventory, and Merchandising partners, you'll develop compelling, data-driven campaigns that support seasonal storytelling, drive revenue, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate has strong email marketing expertise and enjoys balancing creative thinking with analytical decision-making. You'll own the day-to-day email calendar for multiple businesses, identify opportunities to improve processes and campaign performance, and help evolve how we communicate with customers across email, SMS, push notifications, and other digital channels.

Responsibilities
  • Own the strategic planning, calendar development, QA, and execution of email campaigns, ensuring alignment with business priorities, merchandising strategies, promotional events, and brand storytelling.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, Inventory, Retail, and Merchandising teams to develop compelling content strategies that drive customer engagement and incremental revenue.
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing lead for assigned campaigns and initiatives, driving timelines, facilitating cross-functional communication, and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Serve as marketing lead for seasonal planning and execution of Display, Extensions, Sitelinks, Retargeting, and Native campaigns as well as guide monthly updates to Affiliate team across promotions and brand initiatives.
  • Build, maintain, and evolve the team's Movable Ink content library, identifying scalable personalization opportunities and reusable creative modules.
  • Analyze campaign performance and customer behavior, assist in developing and executing A/B testing strategies, and present strategies, recommendations, and results to cross-functional partners and leadership to continually optimize customer engagement and business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvements to team workflows, campaign planning processes, and operational efficiencies while bringing forward new ideas informed by competitive retail trends, ecommerce, customer lifecycle marketing, and email best practices.
Criteria
  • BS/BA required.
  • 35 years of experience in email marketing, CRM/lifecycle marketing, ecommerce, or digital marketing, preferably within retail.
  • Demonstrated experience owning email marketing calendars and executing promotional and seasonal campaigns from strategy through launch.
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle, promotional, and merchandising-driven marketing, with experience collaborating across Creative, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Retail, Inventory, and Marketing teams.
  • Highly organized and analytical, with exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while translating campaign performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently communicate to both small working teams and larger cross-functional audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Movable Ink and Airtable is highly preferred.
