Primary Objective: 

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair, and/or distribution of electrical energy. Installs, maintains, and replaces electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment. 

Major Function and Scope: 

Basic PLCs lay out and trouble shoot of analogic/digital signals and network communication. 

Inspect and maintain the safety devices related to the process equipment. 

Complete basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuit modifications. 

Ability to lead projects and complete successfully. 

Set up basic VFD/DRIVERS's parameters and troubleshoot alarms. 

Ensures assigned area and satellite shop area are clean and organized. 

Provide the supervisor a list of parts required to complete tasks. 

Prioritize activities for assigned areas (PMs/Work Orders/Inspections). 

Draft, request, and validate SOPs for assigned area to guarantee other team members are trained on documentation. 

Support the rest of the Maintenance Department during unplanned downtime (call in or phone call). 

Respond to radio calls in assigned area. 

Be available for remote support or on-site support outside of normal work schedule. 

Responsible to drive area task completion for reactive repairs and proactive work. 

Responsible for completion for all PM's in the assigned area. 

Identify PMs that need update to improve process. 

Suggest and request maintenance personnel skills development when required. 

Experience and Knowledge Required: 

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electrical code. 

Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred. 

4 or more years industrial maintenance experience and 2 years industrial electrical experience. 

Formal PLC training preferred. 

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particle. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
